Turkey Trot Thursday Nov. 23rd 9:30am
Calling all runners, waddlers and trotters to this year's Turkey Trot. Come feast on some miles as we offer a 5k, 10k and 15k run/walk options. We will be supporting FareStart as our featured charity. If you have any food products you want to donate, bring them to the race and we will give them to the University Food Bank. The race is chip timed, USATF Certified and prizes for top finishers.
7:45am-9:30am: Registration opens for bib pickup and day of race registration.
9:15am: 400 meter kids dash starts.
9:30am: Start of 5k, 10k and 15k.
10:15am: 5k top 3 awards.
10:30am: 10k top 3 awards.
11:45am: 15k top 3 awards.
This is our largest event of the year so all parking lots will be utilized. Please see below for the three lots we have available. We recommend getting to the park by 8:30am or sooner. We also recommend picking up your packet before the race at our early packet pickup option at Super Jock n' Jill.
About the Course
The course is a 5k loop that we use for all race distances. The 5k is one lap, 10k is two laps, and the 15k is three laps. We ask that runners and walkers leave a passing lane, when possible, on their left. The course is open to the public so please be courteous of other trail users.
Help the Community
Bring any food items you would like to donate to the registration shelter. We will have a collection area and after the event drop all the food donation off at the University Food Bank. Our featured charity for this event is FareStart. FareStart transforms lives, disrupts poverty and nourishes communities through food, life skills and job training and we will be making a donation to them.
