Tips for improvement

Train like flowing water

One of the easiest ways to improve is to create a realistic schedule and make the goal of sticking to it. Lasting improvement comes from steady consistent time put into your training. Avoid getting all worked up about a new program or setting unrealistic goals which may lead to burn out. Also don't worry about missing a day if your schedule changes, training programs are meant to be flexible. Focus on what you are able to accomplish and embrace your training experience.

Strive for workout partners

There are many resources out there such as running clubs, personal trainers, friends and family. Working out as a team helps to hold you accountable and makes for a fun training environment. One of our goals of the series is to create an atmosphere where everyone helps to encourage others and do well.

Continuing education

Yes, taking some time to read up on some of the many health and fitness topics can be educating and motivating at the same time. The health and fitness industry is very dynamic and the best way to stay informed is to do a little research on topics that interest you.

Last but not least...

Stay positive and keep moving! If you start to lose motivation for whatever reason look at the many health benefits of exercise located on the left. It is also good to identify motivator's and de-motivators in your life and do your best to accommodate.
